Our city, Hsinchu, once had a rich cultural heritage. It has been under the rule of the Qing Dynasty, Japanese colonization, and the government of the Republic of China. The characteristics of the different eras have shaped the life of Hsinchu today. In the course, we will walk through the temples, alleys and buildings of Hsinchu in a situated learning st<x>yle. We will learn about the culture, history and life in Hsinchu. At the end of the course, students will be asked to create a map of their life in Hsinchu as a guide for Travelers and to assess their grades.
